It’s been several days since we have received a report from the Captain. The crew is starting to get worried, several officers have been approaching me asking what we are going to do. I have to find a balance of Command and care. Luckily Star Fleet has prepared me for my duties, though I fear my lack of visible emotion is starting to concern the crew. I personally want to bring the Captain and our missing crew home safely but I have to weigh the ship first. If we do not find a supply of dilithium we will be dead in the water easy pickings for the first Jem’hadar ship that crosses us. I’ve taken to manning the bridge for two shifts using the time to make a plan. It then came to me, we are alone and waging a war we need to stop thinking like we would if we had back up and a Starbase. We need to go outside of normal channels. So I’m going to order a raid on a Dominion outpost, we can take what we need to save the ship and hopefully steal one of their ships to locate and extract the away team if they indeed are being held by the Dominion. Being our current supplies we only get one chance and I think this is it. I know the crew will step up and make the Captain proud. If we are able to get the supplies at least the ship will be ready to continue it’s journey back home.
