Those things tend to be last moment things.
If you are being executed it'll be either nobody's coming for you or you'll be teleported out as the blade swings toward your neck.

And I knew that my crew was coming for us.

The whole operation was a huge risk, but the gains may have been worth it.
I heard the bragging of the changeling about the details of their internal coup, those of the Vorta about the allegiances in this sector and of course, the crippling blow we dealt them there.
And of course the supplies and dilithium the crew got during their very successful raid.

We've got ahead on our pursuers, but the Jem'hadar raider had to be left behind.
It was self destructed.

But it's only a matter of time 'till an alarm will be raised and pursuit will arrive from all sides.
