Mission: Episode Four: Outcast
Location: In orbit of a Rogue half-planet
Timeline: Stardate 97642.78

The away team is back from their EVA and have submitted a preliminary report on their findings.
It would seem that the planet is about 8.4 billion years old, while the evidence on the cataclysm point to somewhere around the mark of 1 billion.
Analyzing the crystalline formations should shed additional light on that event.

Additionally, it seems that there may have been silicon based lifeforms of the planet.
To penetrate the crust and enable subterranean mapping, the team deployed a grid of Zirconium stents.
This should provide the conductive corridor for our deflector's scans.
