Second Officer's Log,

I write this log from my temporary quarters aboard the U.S.S. Tesla, I have failed my ship and crew. A Changeling was able to infiltrate the crew and murder a crewmember. After murdering Ensign Wayne the Changeling then began it's mission to sabotage the ship. I have never faced a more challenging foe, Commander Zus and myself were able to track it to Engineering and located the crewmen it was disguised as. But we were too late.... it had already completed it's plan. The ship was too far gone and the Changeling escaped, Captain Miller then ordered abandon ship. We were able to save the crew and the Captain and Commander, but the ship was lost. We are now recovering on the U.S.S. Tesla, Captain Seleine was nice enough to provide the senior officers full quarters and provide medical aid to all crew members that were injured. I accept responsibility for this event, I was brought aboard to act as Security Officer and I failed to properly prepare the ship for this instance. I plan to meet with Captain Miller as his soonest opening to submit my report and accept any action he deems fit.
