Mission: Episode Twelve: Shape of the Diamond

A crossroads. Again.

Well, not really, it's just a straight road. We just need to learn how to read the signs, so we'll be able to find our way across.
And our way on the other side.

Outside, a huge EM barrier is blocking our path, the path that the shuttle went through.
Commander Salene's report is that it looks to be centered on an object, perhaps a planet.
She devised a plan to try penetrating it by creating an explosive reaction that will disrupt the source of the field.
Will it work? Will the power of anything that we can field be sufficient?
Or maybe it'll ring some bells we'd rather kept silent?
Which of those signs has the answer?

Down the road there is a matter of... dilithium augments?
It was an interesting hunch, to try duplicating the reaction that may have caused dilithium traces in the cells of the dead Cardassian on Corwin Prime.
The process almost blew half the section away, but gave us an insight to what we might expect down this road.
The augmentation information that we've help steal... is tied to this?
I feel nauseated of the mere thought.
But if we've helped start this, we must see it end.
