Mission: Episode One: Path of the Dragon
Location: Starbase 621
Timeline: Stardate 93935.88

We have our orders now.

As the Alliance is taking its first step towards a unified galactic power, it sets out to explore as well.
The Cychreides is to set out for a Deep space tactical reconnaissance mission. Scout, pave a safe path to Scientific and exploration ships and assist in any way possible.

We are to collect tactical information and any intelligence on the new worlds but remain hidden from unencountered species, if possible. Any first contact must be handled with extreme care and delegated to Exploration vessels, for follow-up.

But before that we are to do some regular fetch and carry evacuating the crew of a Federation research station at Theta Draconis, a binary system in Helaspont Nebula and transporting them to Ferenginar, where we are to resupply and receive additional crew.

From Ferenginar it is Deep Space 3, beyond the Dark Cluster and the unknown beyond.

Although I'm naturally worried before such a mission, I'm confident that the crew of the Cychreides one of the best there is as the ship is certainly up to that particular task.

The only matter that clouds my thoughts is the absence of Lieutenant Commander T'Pel. As the ship is to set out in a few hours, I still have no indication if she'll join us here or meet us at Ferenginar.
At least some news would have been a relief.
