Mission: Episode Thirteen: Revolving doors
Location: Starbase 621
Timeline: Stardate 93917.54

Our mission was a success but very few will know of it.
It is for the best.

The point of this log is to get the facts straight for myself, before I file the report to Command.

So, the artifact is... was indeed a Terraformer, but it had two parts. The second was destroyed in the explosion but the first survived.
It is useless now, besides making those that come in contact with it see the inferno of the explosion we caused.

We are still unsure what exactly the Na'kuhl planned to do with it but I would speculate it has something to do with the writing crewman Lare translated for us:

To preserve is to build,
A place to use as shield.
But one’s sanctuary,
Is other’s purgatory.
So each thread must be carefully placed,
So the fabric would not be a waste.
Two parts of a whole,
To make a planet whole.

One’s sanctuary, is other’s purgatory. The ability to change the habitat and so manipulate other races could be a devastating weapon and a cause for great turmoil.
I hope we may never find out.

I'm glad we are to receive new orders and eager to leave this behind.
