Captain's log

Posted on Sunday May 3rd, 2020 @ 10:57pm by Captain Dimitriy (Dima) Miller

Mission: Episode Six: A dance of ice and fire
Location: HJR-4462 system edge
Timeline: Stardate 97685.56

Part of being a captain is making those life and death decisions, weighing the good of the service against the safety of your man.
We're out here, in deep space, not to be safe and shielded. We are here to go boldly. putting our lives in danger. Every single minute.
That what Starfleet means and that is what is expected of us.
And it is we that make the service.

I look at the data, the possibility of a hidden M-class planet within one of the most impenetrable systems that I've saw and just can't shy away from it.
We've made every effort to reach it using probes, contemplated unmanned missions, but the magnetic interference coupled with the density and the dynamic of the field surrounding the system just made it all impossible.
So, we seem to be ready to go boldly once again.
