Mission: Episode Eighteen: Beyond the veil

It's been two days since the prison colony and I still trying to get my mind around the ramifications of the events there.

We've got what we were after and more. Supplies, star-charts, intelligence, hell - even crew.
With the loss of 3 MACOs and... an XO.

The Dominion, apparently, undergo's a silent coup.
It is lead by the Female changeling and has been in works for a very long time, maybe long before the Dominion war.
So there goes the utopic consensus of the great link.
But it also means that the Dominion as a whole is divided and not bent on the destruction of the Federation and the Alliance.
After debriefing some of the Dominion rebels we've brought aboard, it become clear that their only goal is to warn the Founders of the danger and they will help us get there if we'll get them to their destination. Another advantage we have to use.

The group of rescued prisoners that we've managed to rescue counts a mere 15 persons, after 2 have died during the day on the operating table.
They have been over 50 before the rebellion, so Commander Na'Toth tells me.
Me and Lieutenant Voidstar are going over the lists of the captives and record them in our logs, so that their fate will be know when we're back.
And we have to decide what to do with the living...

But that's later. After they're healthy enough.

We have a lot of thinking to do for the future, so I postpone it a little more.
Now I think of the past. Of my brave and loyal Number one. My true friend, that was ever at my side. That shaped this crew into the best crew there is.
I think of Uzeeta Zus.
