Mission:
Episode Nine: The White shore
Location: In Orbit of Seraphim-X
Timeline: Stardate 94047.73
Having finished preliminary repairs with the kind help of the Endeavor, we were instructed to rendezvous with the U.S.S. Nebula, surveying the Seraphim-X planet and finish our repairs with their assistance.
The Cychreides warp engines were sufficiently repaired to reach warp 6, however Lieutenant Essex recommended not stressing them just yet and remaining at warp 4 at most.
Unfortunately soon I had to disregard this recommendation, as we received no reply to our hails from the Nebula.
Arriving at Seraphim-X we found no trace to the Nebula, except for an abandoned campsite on the surface.
I decided to head the away mission, with Commander Zus coordinating the tactical operation with two full MACO teams.
Initially we found nothing of interest, beside the hastily abandoned survey camp.
But after a thorough analysis of the area, Lieutenant Dovok found some high concentration of a poisonous compound in the river nearby and sent it to Dr. Sherkar for analysis.
The results were not what we expected. It turned to be Ketracel White.
Having put aside the multitude of questions that came up with this discovery, we cautiously proceeded to trace the Ketracel to its source - a natural cave nearby.
Once securing the inside of the cave and performing multi-spectral scans, assisted by signal enhancers, we found a Ketracel White manufacturing laboratory, hidden behind a Shroud cloak.
So it WAS a Jem'hadar facility.
I will be assembling the senior staff to decide our course of action to locate the missing Nebula and discover the reason for Jem'hadar presence so deep in the Alpha quadrant.
